That person was never a true friend anyway.

Which is why I'm not terribly upset, although we were on good neighborly terms, or so I thought. But they always were a little superior. We have people like that here who are (as they say) all show and no dough.

When I got divorced and got kicked out of the middle class, a lot of people that I thought were friends, disappeared. Lately, I'm wondering if it isn't the same in Blog Land.

Kay: You are someone I would love to know in person. You sound so nice, and your politics are fabulous!

hmmm. You sound like you're in a good mood. Lol.

You tell it like it is Hattie...and I like that. It's funny how money often shows us who are true friends are. I'm sorry you had to experience this. As far as the blogging community....I've had a few blogger disappointments that bothered me for a while; but I realized it wasn't worth worrying over...and moved on. And, I've removed some from my blogroll too. ~Joy

Some people do try my patience. I used to attempt to deal with them, but I'm too old to bother with troublesome people any more.

#One, Loaning money is such a dodgey endeavor--especially when it's large sum. Hope you get some cash though "friend" sounds disposable.

#Two, Blogging can be such an excellent way to learn where ideas are coming from among those outside my little universe. How we deal with conflicting ideas: large challenge, esp. social issues.

#Three, looking forward to your having a good time in current travels.

What you say, Naomi.
