Twitter, Facebook, and blogging
Twitter is for keeping up with the news.
Facebook is for keeping up with friends and relatives that I know in real space
Blogging is for sharing videos, articles, and for my writing. To me, the essence of blogging is connection , through links and comments. Many bloggers don't link to other blogs and other content, but to me that is what keeps the ball rolling.
I'm pretty speedy at what I do, so Twitter, Facebook, and blogging do not take up inordinate amounts of my time.
But very importantly, I do not blog on weekends but only moderate comments. Otherwise it gets too intense and I get behind with other things.
Fascinating.

I'm afraid I'm not too quick and I have to watch it that blogging doesn't take too much of my time. It does always keep me thinking though.

I think it's because I had to do so much writing when I went back to college and just got in the habit.

I don't Twitter and am not on Facebook...so my time on the computer and in social media circles is centered around blogging and working for the BlogHer.com community. I made the decision NOT to get involved with Facebook; but I do have access to all of my kid's accounts....and that way I keep updated with family and friends. I like it that way. I like your thoughts on blogging Hattie...and agree completely; although I haven't been linking as much to other blogs as I should. Blogging is very much about reciprocity...and I like that. ~Joy

Joy: Reciprocity, yes. You remind me that I need to put BlogHer on my blogroll.
