All the tosh about motherhood around this blog lately has sent me back to Tom Lehrer and his classic tune, Oedipus Rex. Look, if you can't see the funny side of it all, you are in big trouble.

Ah, yes. I have several LPs and CDs, plus a song book, of Tom Lehrer. When my brothers and I get together (a very rare event), we usually end up singing Lehrer's songs.

I first heard him in my college dorm in 1957 and bought the original recording, which I have somewhere. Isn't it nice to be able to find all these things again on You Tube?
