Since we have been having cool, overcast weather and a lot of rain, we find ourselves drinking hot drinks and speaking a lot of German. Speaking German keeps our vocal cords warm and our lungs clear. And we also just watched the fifth episode of Lars von Trier's TV series, The Kingdom. What a sadist this man is. He lures you in and lets you have it! Needless to say, we are grossly entertained. And I love Danish, and have learned to take the good with the bad (evil, odious?), or d'goed mit d' oed, as von Trier puts it and my ears hear it. (Z, if you could spell that for me, I'd appreciate it.)
Von Trier was quite good looking at the time he made this TV series but has become ordinary looking over the years, and as I mentioned before, is into making porn with purported serious intent. Those Nordic types sure get worked up about sex, like no other peoples.
Time works its devil magic on us all. But to me he still looks young or maybe middle aged, just not devilishly handsome.

All those Vikings are intense and nutty but von Trier is crazy. Yet strangely interesting. I have to to see Riget.
