Rain Trueax

I am surprised there isn't a law against that in cities or really anywhere that someone is using it to intimidate others. How can we tell a psychopath from these guys? And some of those defending the right to own guns, like the ones we've seen on TV, are the kind that nobody sane wants to own them

Those guys seem to assume they are the good guys. Why? To me they are scary and the police should be called.

Terry tells me they were at an intersection two blocks from our Portland rental property.

"mother may I" is a phrase left over from a childhood game that I played. Not only some mothers but also fathers are poor mentors for our gun cult-struck young ones. But they are only a small part -- the larger part is the gun industry, media, lobbyists, and politicians. Gun laws allow proliferation of assault weapons that excite the video driven youngsters who think they are cool -- formula for disaster. -- We know this is the formula in this country but we seem unable to break through to the lawmakers. barbara

Hey, are you ok? Haven't heard a peep out of you. Just checking.

It does shift things when danger gets closer to one's own space, doesn't it? Such a nice neighborhood Sellwood but it could have been anywhere is this lawless city--or Oregon. And they were not arrested!

Hope you're feeling better now. Have been knocked awry by sulfa; these drugs may be worse than the illness?

If you have a chance, call while you're in the area. Ceasefire Oregon Exec. Dir. came to retirement community yesterday to talk with group that started after Clackamas and Newtown. Excellent presenter who will talk to general population in couple of weeks. And then we get the truly crazed pro-gun guy
who I understand always carries a concealed weapon. More later.

Idiots. How in the hell am I supposed to know if they are one of the good guys or one of the bad guys? Oh, wait, they could just wear armbands so that those of us who lead lives without fear, don't let them terrify us again.
