Here are the men working on replacing telephone poles in the neighborhood. There were four cherry pickers with two men apiece in them and another group of men on the ground guiding operations and directing traffic.
Two of my favorite orchids are in bloom:
This is the Hilo Sunrise orchid, which smells like saffron.
And this is the coconut orchid, which smells like (guess what) coconut.
Most people who encounter orchids outside of the tropics don't know how many wonderful scents many have.
I love the brilliant colours of your orchids, and the scents sound quite intriguing.
I have a couple of pots of lime yellow coloured cymbidiums (I think) which have a honey citrus scent. It does well in the very cool solarium and has been in bloom since before Christmas.

I love cymbidium but can't get them to thrive here. It's too warm for them. But they do wonderfully well in Volcano Village, which is at about 4,000 feet. There is a miniature cymbidium that apparently can be grown in warmer places, but I haven't seen one to buy yet.

Those are beautiful orchids! I love the color, but I'm afraid I don't know what saffron smells like. It must be wonderful.
