Does anyone out there have gluten free and dairy free recipes or know where good sources are? I'm fixing hummus, salsa, shrimp, rice, and salad. I have Bob's garbanzo flour and Bob's quinoa flour in my pantry. I tried a recipe once for a garbanzo flatbread but I think the proportions were wrong.
These recipes look good but they really aren't my cooking style. I like to cook as simply as possible and don't care to fuss with ingredients and proportions that much.
"I tried a recipe once for a garbanzo flatbread" ...
Was that the one served at your party in 2003 with the Greek food?

What a memory you have! I guess so!

My daughter-in-law is on a gluten free diet. I've researched it some also to prepare food when she's here but I don't have a link to a site right now. I'll ask her but I do know she does gourmet cooking; so they might not be simple recipes. I buy the special flours and some work (found a pie dough that works) and others just aren't the same. She's off this week-end for a book club friend group at the beach.

My love sells gluten free bread every Sunday at Laupahoehoe Farmers Market. He typically uses garbanzo or coconut flour, and people love it. Let me know if you're ever going to be up this way, and I'll go along with him. I often hang out at the homestead while he is selling, just to enjoy some me time... Also, the library branch in our town has some good gluten free cookbooks, so I'll bet that the Hilo branch does too. : )

Rain: Thanks. It's working out well. We are figuring things out.
Annie: What time? We want to come up. I didn't even know there was a Laupahoehoe Market.

The Sunday market is from 9-1... Next to the Minit Stop. He also sells pies, which are not the least bit gluten free!
