McCain was NOT straight talking. No, he was playing to his audience. And did you see those stern, pitiless faces? Like a hanging jury.

Somewhere, and I can't find the link any more, a woman posted a piece about meeting McCain at breakfast at a fancy resort in the Caribbean. He harangued everyone about some topic, read passages from a book that he forced everyone to listen to and told a man not to let his wife have more pancakes because she would put on weight. Since this was during the campaign I thought maybe it was just a piece of anti-McCain publicity, but now I wonder.
I guess he really is as awful as one might have thought.
