The weather seems to be moderating, so we have hopes. The weather map looks encouraging. The big weather front is south of us and seems to be moving away. Terry came back from Phoenix with bronchitis but already is better.
Fred gets to be a real pest when he can't have his customary sun bath. He's been getting in fights, too, and he is all over scabs on his ears and scalp. They say that if a cat has injuries on the front of its body, it's OK, because they mean he won the fight and drove the other cat off his territory. If they are on the rear, that means the cat ran away! Fred also recently caught and ate a rat that gave him indigestion, which did not sweeten his mood.
You would think that being neutered would have calmed Fred down. No way. He is very cantankerous but has his sweet side, too.
Fred loves to take the sun on our deck. There's a cat who knows how to live!
Oh, he is a great cat, I want a cat. My cat's disappearance will have been 2 years long on March 3. There is a cat who visited today and I wonder if it is my cat with amnesia. Looks like it could be my cat after a couple of years of a different life, more macho.
I like this post because it is not about the saccharine side of cats. Fighting and eating rats. They are alien beings, those cats.
