Morning light brings out the glow in my orchids. (Enlarge for the full effect.) On my monitor I can hit the + and get an enlargement of the enlargement.

Those photos are spectacular especially the first one. Like an abstract painting.

Rain: I hope you could double enlarge it to see the glow on the petals. That is what makes orchids so spectacular.

yes, i could. they are unworldly. I can't grow orchids and resist the temptation to get them whenever I see them somewhere-- although I rarely see any as beautiful as those. My windows are all wrong for any house plant and so I resist them all but I love houseplants. Orchids though are at the top of the chain for their beauty. Your photos do them justice :)

Rain: I told the girls what you said, and they were pleased. They are quite vain, but who can protest when they are such beauties!
My advice to orchid lovers on the Mainland is to buy ones you like, enjoy them, and discard them when they finish blooming. They are mostly clones grown in big greenhouses, pretty for a while but expendable.
