Our neighbor gave us and another neighbor frozen turkeys that his supermarket did not have room to store. Overproduction and slow sales, according to this article, are causing the turkeys to back up everywhere.

Nene geese but not Canada geese, who are so numerous that many regard them as pests.

I mean the geese at the supermaket. I've seen them priced as high as eighty dollars.

The turkey's sound kind of like Christmas trees. Some years they sell out early and some years the lot is still half full on Christmas Day. It is tough to guess just what people want to buy sometimes.
