I know it's wrong, but I couldn't help but laugh and laugh at this!

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions for naming the kitten. We had just about settled on Fred Junior for his name, when "Sparky" occurred to me. Immediately, Terry said, "Yes, that's it!" Sparky is thriving. It amazes me how this cat, only around nine weeks old, knows how to do so many things already. None of it's taught. He even uses his litter box. It's a win-win situation, for him and for us.
I owe so many thank-yous to so many people. My will power is at a low ebb, but I'm thinking about all of you and am so appreciative, even if I don't manage to get a thank-you note out. The amount of kindness I've encountered, from so many quarters, has surprised and overwhelmed me.
Oh, that is so funny!!
I love the name Sparky. I'm sure it fits him to a tee.
Hang in there! We are all rooting for you!
Hugs and good thoughts going your way!

I guess there's a serious point in that video, that the sort of people who voted for Trump would instinctively distrust any kind of intellectual analysis of the political situation and vote for what they regard as "common sense" policies free of all that "high-faluting bullshit".

Nick: Yep. And you can imagine the fireworks when one of those guys shows up in a feminist theory class!

Sparky must be a delight. And I read that Onion article to cheer myself up. This whole world lately is getting to me. I remember telling like this when I was a teenager and the threat of nuclear war hovered over us then.
Trying to shake myself out of it.

Sparky is perfect.
And at least you didn't vote for trump.

We had a cat come to us who had been named Frisky. By the time she came into our lives, she had become a stand-offish stately matron. We altered the name to Frisker. She was the sort of cat with whom you could never tell if she failed to recognize her name -- or she was just ignoring that inexplicable noise you made. Maybe Sparky can grow up to be Sparker -- if need be?
Stay strong; live well! Cheers.

Hi, just checking to see how you are. Hope you are feeling better.

Will power is highly overrated. Don't get sucked into it. Whereas regretfully, letting it all hang out or plain relaxing gets such a bad name in our society. It's time to stand up for it, don't you think?
Look after yourself. It should not be a struggle or a fight, one day at a time, mindfully.
All my cats had secret names they never told. Which is why they only responded occasionally to the names we gave them. And responding isn't even the right way to describe it. All the best to Sparky!
